Rhododendron 'Canobie Sunset' (Perkins)

Rhododendron 'Canobie Sunset'is an example of the interesting things that happen with open pollinated seed. This plant was raised from seed collected at the Case Estates off of 'Fedora' an old hybrid evergreen azalea with purplish pink flowers. 'Canobie Sunset' is sterile and as such stays in bloom over 2-3 weeks. We donated it to Plants for Members so others may try it.
